I moved to the US to conduct research on functional genomics at the National Institutes of Health. I then completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry at NYU as well as training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Columbia University. Before starting my practice, I worked at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in multiple roles. I conducted research on mood and anxiety disorders, taught medical students and supervised psychiatry residents providing care to a diverse adult population at the Mount Sinai psychiatric outpatient clinic. In addition I contributed to the establishment of a clinical service providing mental health treatment to health care workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. My research resulted in several publications and was presented at national and international conferences. I am on the voluntary faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
